Little Surprises Children’s Centre is a community based nonprofit organization that’s been established to create a better alternative home for circumstantial children prisoners that shall be filled with peace, love and care. This highway of hope leads children from a prison life to a life of freedom with the love of Jesus Christ.

The goal is to improve the livelihood of children through; the provision if holistic quality early childhood development care and services; hence enriching their mental, physical, spiritual and social abilities.

Little Surprises is founded on Christian Values such as love, Care, selflessness, honesty, integrity and hard work. These and more are handled as uncompromising statutes that are engraved on each founding member’s Heart.

To lead children from prison life to a life of freedom

Objectives


- To provide the basic necessities like shelter, food and clothing to children whose parent(s) is/are in prison.
- To provide basic literacy and numeracy skills to pre-school children aged 2-5 years
- To offer guidance and counseling sessions to children traumatized by prison life
- To enhance efforts in the awareness and prevention of crimes like those committed by parents.
- To lobby and advocate for children’s rights through engaging in social in social awareness campaigns.
- To re-unite children and their parents after jail.


Programs

The programs of Little Surprises are embedded in the holistic intervention approach ranging from frequent visits to children’s parents in jail, guidance and counseling sessions for children and parents, setting up structural infrastructure for the children where their basic needs can be met, pre-school literacy classes, re-uniting of children and their parents after serving their sentence in jail, crime prevention awareness campaigns to children rights advocacy and lobbying.

These and other programs shall offer a wide range of education, skills and values.

How we run

Little Surprises has a cross section of founding members that oversees, provide advice to our leadership team and assist in various mobilization efforts. Our strength is derived from partnerships and integrity.

We believe that in the near future this program shall be self-sustaining.

We are proud of pioneering a process that not only provide a better alternative to prison life but also bring holistic child growth and transformation.

Little Surprises is in its infant stages of establishment but very open to cooperate with like-minded organizations, governments and individuals to reach desired outcomes on this highway of hope to vulnerable Children.
